Words Matter.

As a communicator, I strive for clarity in all aspects of the word. An often understated, and underappreciated aspect of communicating is through the written word. I realize that sometimes, the things we write, might have the biggest impact of all.

There are many negative stigmas surrounding women’s athletics today. In this research, we looked to determine why that is and how we can advance past it. By applying our findings to the University of Mississippi’s women’s basketball team, we developed a strategic approach to filling the stands and letting our student athletes shine in the ways they deserve.

Filling The stands

Changing the Culture

Changing an aspect of organizational culture is difficult enough as it is, but completely building a culture from the ground up might be one of the most difficult managerial tasks. I take a look at Arsenal FC, and their fall from the top of the world of European soccer, how they got there, and how they are starting to build back to the top, from starting at the bottom.

Preserving the Past

Few artifacts remain from our days of developing industrial technology. Things are modernizing, locations are revitalizing, and destinations like atmospheric theaters are being replaced by multiplexes built solely around making a profit. The Olympia Theater in downtown Miami is one of the few remaining timestamps we have left of the early 20th century.

Rebuilding the Trust

As the world grows increasingly polarized, we must ask ourselves, “Why?”

News media has developed a reputation, for better or for worse, that it cannot be trusted. I look into this, and propose some solutions for the growing issue, all while keeping the idea of ethical communication at the forefront of the conversation

In the world of European soccer, few things are as widely understood, as the fans, and their enigmatic relationship with the team they support. In this research synthesis, I take a look at this relationship between the club and their fans, and seek to understand why brand-building activites are looked down upon by the very people targeted by these activities.
